David L. Antognoli

David received his undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois in 1976, and his law degree, magna cum laude, from Southern Illinois University School of Law in 1980. His law school honors include American Jurisprudence Awards in both Criminal Procedure and Administrative Law and National Moot Court Team presidency.
David has been a member of the firm for two decades. He leads the business and commercial law department and concentrates on banking law and real estate finance and development.
In addition to nearly 40 years experience in private practice, he has served as an adjunct professor of law at Southern Illinois University School of Law, where he taught real estate finance and development. He has also lectured and published articles for several continuing legal education programs, including programs sponsored by the Illinois Institute of Continuing Legal Education and the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association. David has published papers on Illinois mortgage foreclosure law, bad faith insurance claims, mechanics lien foreclosure, construction bonds, construction law and liens on public Funds, enforcement of judgments, and minority shareholder rights.
David’s interests include golf, history and archeology. He also loves to cook, and enjoys good fiction.
