Class Action Litigation

Goldenberg Heller Antognoli & Rowland has recovered billions and earned national recognition for protecting the rights of its clients in prosecuting class action claims. Class actions provide an effective remedy for a large group of clients without incurring the costs of separate lawsuits. State and federal laws provide consumers with broad protection from false and misleading advertising, unfair or deceptive business practices, defective products, breach of consumer contracts and property damage.

Goldenberg Heller Antognoli & Rowland, P.C. filed the first class action lawsuit in the nation against Prudential Insurance Company in 1995 for deceptive sales practices, resulting in a settlement in excess of 1 Billion Dollars. We also served as co-lead counsel in an environmental class action on behalf of the property owners and residents of the Village of Hartford, Illinois, relating to contamination of the soil underlying the property in Hartford. This case was settled in 2009 against three major oil companies. Our attorneys currently act as Lead or Co-Lead Counsel in cases involving pharmaceutical companies, taking of property rights, toxic waste and environmental contamination, consumer fraud, deceptive insurance practices, bank and gift cards, improper billing practices by utilities, and many others.

As a result of our reputation and success in prosecuting class actions, major national and regional companies have engaged our firm to defend federal and state class actions. We believe that this places us in a unique position among national class action counsel.

Although we concentrate our class action practice in Missouri and St. Louis, we have been involved in class action cases throughout the country.
