I joined the firm’s asbestos team as an associate in 2011. Born and raised in Carbondale, IL, joining the firm gave me the opportunity to return to the Southern Illinois region to use my legal skills to help others.
I received my bachelor’s degree in political science along with minors in criminal justice and sociology from Loyola University Chicago. I spent 3 years competing on Loyola’s Mock Trial Team, making Nationals my senior year. Following graduation, I attended law school at the University of Iowa College of Law. While at Iowa, I had the privilege of working as a research assistant for one of the preeminent death penalty scholars in the country, Professor David Baldus. In addition, I served on the Journal of Transnational Law and Contemporary Problems and I spent a summer as a law clerk at the Social Security Administration Office of the General Counsel in Kansas City, MO.
In my free time I love to read both fiction and nonfiction, and I am an avid sports fan. I also enjoy running, biking, and playing sports, especially soccer.
